We chose to purchase the Roots & Branches steam canner. It is easy to find and instructions are easy to follow. You'll have to put the handle on and that is probably the trickiest part. Just be sure to read the instructions.
This canner is a "steam canner" and works just like the water bath method! If you have used the water bath method then you able to can using a steam canner.
The fact that you are using less water means that it heats up faster so less time in the kitchen! There really is no learning curve as the times for steaming are the same as water bath. Faster and it uses less water and energy! What could be better?
